Why You Need a Dairy Sheep on Your Homestead

For me, the dairy sheep is my top choice for homestead milker. She will give you small manageable amounts of milk loaded with nutrients. You can do more with the milk and enjoy a variety of rich dairy products. Sheep are small, don’t take up a lot of space, and can easily adapt to weeds, forest, rocky cliffs, or brush. They are prolific with high lambing rates and quick breeding turnaround.  They provide a delicious source of protein and amino acids in their meat, and the wool can be used for crafting. Overall, they are a low-impact grazer and can provide you with milk, meat, and wool - all the while maintaining and improving the land!
